UMW Awards $250,000 for Fredericksburg Area Internships


The College of Mary Washington has obtained a $250,000 grant from SCHEV — the Council for Larger Training for Virginia — to develop paid and credit-bearing scholar internships in collaboration with Virginia employers. The grant is a part of the Fund for Excellence and Innovation, also referred to as the Virginia Expertise + Alternative Partnership.

The grant will assist a Program Director who will oversee the institution and operation of the Rappahannock Work and Study Collaborative (RWLC), serving the Fredericksburg space, the North Neck and the Central Peninsula, by UMW Affiliate Provost for Profession and Workforce Kimberly Younger Instructed.
